Join us for wine and light hors d’oeuvres as we learn about the life-changing work our partner Leket is doing in Israel.
Leket Israel, the nation’s largest food rescue organization, normally feeds 270,000 people weekly using surplus food. Due to the ongoing war, this has increased to 330,000.
Lauren Yokèd, Executive Director of American Friends of Leket Israel, will visit Albany to discuss the organization’s rapid response to the crisis and its initiatives for women and children.
Please bring a canned good to donate
(Leket Israel is a recipient of Jewish Federation of NENY funding.)
Help feed people right here in our community! The Shalom Food Pantry, a project of Capital Chabad, feeds more than200 households by providing nourishing food packages twice a month. You can be a part of it by joining us to pack food on Sunday, December 15. Spend one hour with a fun group of women doing meaningful work! Light refreshments will be served.
